Job summary

REV Group's American Emergency Vehicles division seeks a Paint/Body team member to prep, sand, and buff painted ambulances, mask surfaces, and seal seams to ensure high-quality finishes. You will apply primers, finish surfaces, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires 1–3 years of automotive paint prep/repair, tool proficiency with sanders and grinders, teamwork, and adherence to OSHA/EPA standards.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1–3 years of automotive paint prep and body repair.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to run sanders, grinders and hand tools.
• Knowledge of quality requirements to produce an acceptable finish.
• Professional communication and teamwork.
• OSHA/EPA standards knowledge.
• Ability to learn to mix primers and paint products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sand, and buff painted vehicles.
• Mask off areas around painting.
• Seal seams with epoxy seam sealer and prep for painting.
• Grind and fill with body filler; sand welds and dents.
• Sand body filler and transitions.
• Apply primer to areas where filler was used.
• Wipe surfaces with degreaser before painting.
• Sand painted surfaces to reduce orange peel texture.
• Operate a buffer to achieve a proper finish.
• May climb on vehicles and wear fall protection.
• Keep the work area safe and within 6S standards.
• Develop proficiency under moderate supervision.
