Job summary

Neenah Foundry Company is seeking an Auto Grind Operator Assistant in Neenah, WI. This entry-level position involves hand-tagging, labelling, and directing castings through the finishing department in a loud, warm setting. No prior experience required, but basic computer skills and a willingness to learn are beneficial.

The role is physically demanding with long standing hours and shift work. Employees may cross-train into related tasks and advancement opportunities exist within the production

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Experience with basic hand tools and hoists preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Must engage in safe working practices in a loud, hot environment.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and be 18+ years old.
• Foundry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Practice high level of safety at all times
• Maintain cleanliness of work station, tools, and PPE
• Maintain equipment and work area
• Complete full visual inspections of all castings
• Inspect tools and machinery for defects
• Operate air hoists to move parts over 50 lbs.
• Must attend and participate in stretching exercises once per shift
• Attend weekly safety meetings
