Job summary

Mossy Auto Group is seeking an Entry Level Accounting Clerk to reconcile, compile and maintain accurate accounting records for the Automotive Business Office at our San Diego dealerships.

Prior accounting experience in a high-volume automotive office is a plus though not required. Base pay ranges from $21–$24 per hour with benefits and opportunities for growth within the Mossy family.

Qualifications

• Some accounting knowledge required.
• Automotive accounting experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor information and maintain current vendor records.
• Receive, process, and reconcile invoices for charges.
• Post vendor invoices daily.
• Generate A/P reports with itemized charges for each client.
• Reconcile reports for correct charges and payments.
• Process vehicle Payable Cancellations.
• Check invoices, vouchers, and payment approvals.
• Execute accounts payable checks for mailing.
• Reconcile statements and ledgers with dealership schedules.
• Answer vendor inquiries and reconcile bank balances.
• Assist in monthly closing and prepare account analyses.
• Provide support for and cross-train in other business office positions.
