Job summary

Withum in Holmdel Township, NJ, seeks accounting majors to join the Audit team as part of the November 2027 class. You will gain hands-on experience in financial statement audits, internal control evaluations, and client engagements across various industries.

Under supervision of a Manager or Partner, you will analyze client records, test controls, prepare workpapers, and communicate with clients. The program emphasizes growth, teamwork, and exposure to audit software and data analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Preferred: 150 credit hours and prior internship with a public accounting firm.
• Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills.
• Team-oriented with a desire to learn and grow.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with audit software is a plus.
• Ability to work in one of our office locations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements.
• Evaluate internal control systems, audit risk, materiality, and compliance with GAAS through inquiry, observation, and review.
• Prepare detailed workpapers to support audit procedures.
• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial data.
• Contribute to larger audit engagements and take ownership of smaller ones as your skills grow.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify audit issues.
• Use audit software and data analytics tools to enhance audit quality and efficiency.
• Take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
