Southwire Company, LLC is seeking an entry-level Operator, Assembler to assist with basic packaging and assembly while learning higher-level tasks. The role offers a 5:30am–3:30pm shift and pay range of $17.78–$19.03 per hour.

Individuals with a high school diploma and basic computer skills, including MS Excel, MS Word, and data entry, are encouraged to apply. Candidates should be able to read and write in English (Spanish bilingual a plus) and be capable of lifting up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak English; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods of time
• Employee will be subjected to twisting, turning, repetitive motions
• Working knowledge and experience with MS Excel, MS Word, Data Entry, SAP desirable
• Experience in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in a team-orientated environment
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work under supervision and maintain ongoing communication with the supervisor and peers through verbal instruction and reports
• Ensure materials are properly packaged
• Put scrap into the designated scrap bins
• Read and comprehend production SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Set up equipment and ensure production materials are available
