Bartlett Tree Experts in Nantucket, MA, is seeking an Arborist Climber Trainee to join our tree care team. This entry-level role provides hands-on, on-the-job training and exposure to professional arboriculture in residential and commercial settings.

You will learn climbing, pruning, rigging, and related tasks while advancing your knowledge and safety practices within a supportive, growth-focused environment. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Passion for nature and outdoor work in all weather.
• Willingness to learn and work on a multi-disciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Degree preference in arboriculture or related field.
• Prior tree care/landscaping experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform arboriculture tasks on safety-first basis.
• Climb trees, prune, rig, cabling and bracing as part of the crew.
• Identify trees and shrubs and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Assist with on-ground and aloft duties and support with driving and parking when needed.
