Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking an Animal Technician to join the Integrated Toxicology team at the Kansas City site. The role involves animal care, dosing, data collection and basic responsibilities under GLP and IACUC rules. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, no sponsorship needed, and willingness to work extended hours.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No prior experience required; experience around animals preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure humane care and welfare of all animals.
• Perform basic husbandry, handling, housing, feeding and data collection.
• Record data, review and verify information.
• Operate equipment and instruments and maintain clean work areas.
• Possess flexibility for extended hours and time constraints.

Excellent written and verbal comm.

Ability to manage multiple tasks
