Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience working with the public.
• Experience in animal-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrols county areas to investigate and impound domestic animals.
• Responds to calls about stray, nuisance, dangerous, or injured animals.
• Maintain records of impounds and licenses issued.
• Explain animal control ordinances and policies to the public.
• Euthanizes animals when required.
• May transport Amador County Inmates or assist other agencies.
