Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in West Hills, CA seeks an Anatomic Path Support Representative I to support the Anatomic Pathology function. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a pay range of $18.90 - $20.70 per hour.

Responsibilities include filing and retrieving slides, LIS data entry, mail handling, and coordinating recuts, special stains, and immunohistochemistry requests, with emphasis on accuracy and timely communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions; Quest LIS knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Filing and retrieval of slides as requested
• Electronic recording of slides into Laboratory Information System (LIS)
• Mail handling and distribution within the department
• Storage of laboratory records according to established record management protocol
• May load/unload slides onto the Focal Point instrument
• Print/Collate History Match
• Manage process for requesting recuts, special stains and immunohistochemistry stains
• May participate in QA/QC support activities
• May contact clients to request additional information
• May handle incoming calls, responding in a professional and timely manner
• Other duties as assigned
