Quest Diagnostics Inc. in West Hills, CA is seeking an Anatomic Path Support Representative I. This on-site role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a pay range of $18.90–$20.70 per hour.

Pay range: $18.90 - $20.70 / hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Position provides general support for the Anatomic Pathology function.

Responsibilities:

• Filing and retrieval of slides as requested


• Electronic recording of slides into Laboratory Information System (LIS)


• Mail handling and distribution within the department


• Storage of laboratory records according to established record management protocol


• May load/unload slides onto the Focal Point instrument


• Print/Collate History Match


• Manage process for requesting recuts, special stains and immunohistochemistry stains


• May participate in QA/QC support activities


• May contact clients to request additional information


• May handle incoming calls, responding in a professional and timely manner


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required WorkExperience:

1-yearrelated experience preferred

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.


• Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.


• Frequent walking and/orstanding.


• May be required to use a wide variety of manual tools and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of whichdemand significant manual dexterity

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of basic computer functions


• Quest LIS knowledge is desirable
