Job summary

Delta Air Lines, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Support Mechanic (ASM) to join the TechOps crew. You will support the safe operation and maintenance of Delta's fleet, working independently or with AMTs on interiors and other areas as needed.

As an entry-level role, you will learn from experienced AMTs who oversee inspections, implementations, and alterations of aircraft systems. This position offers hands-on training and a path to advance in Delta's maintenance organization.

Responsibilities

• Performs work in accordance with laws, regulations, safety protocols, and procedures.
• Conducts inspections to locate damage or wear affecting safety or reliability.
• Recommends replacement, repair, or modification based on inspection results.
• Reports issues, malfunctions, or unusual wear to appropriate personnel.
• Tests machinery and components for defects to ensure proper functioning.
• Installs, removes, or modifies aircraft structures or systems per drawings and orders.
• Repairs worn or damaged parts using hand tools and testing equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment or systems operation problems.
• Interprets discrepancies or logs to understand issue history and next steps.
• Reads and interprets technical manuals for inspections and repairs.
• Maintains repair logs of maintenance activities.
