Bell Textron Inc. in Piney Flats, TN is hiring an entry-level Aircraft Painter to join the Piney Flats Aircraft Paint Team. You’ll refine helicopters and parts, gain hands-on spray experience, and develop core painting skills under supervision.

The role emphasizes surface prep, primer and topcoat application, PPE compliance, and documentation. Growth opportunities exist within a dynamic aviation manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Related painting/coat­ing experience in auto body or manufacturing is preferred.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and interest in learning spray equipment setup and operation.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and basic mix sheets under supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in prep quality and basic spray technique.
• Reliability, punctuality, and openness to instruction, coaching, and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic surface preparation under supervision, including cleaning, solvent wiping, scuff sanding, masking of components and critical areas, and minor fill/feathering.
• Assist with setup, mixing, and basic maintenance of spray equipment and apply primer or topcoat to simple parts using basic spray techniques under supervision.
• Follow PPE and safety requirements for respirators, paint suits, gloves, chemical handling, ventilation, hazardous waste procedures, and maintain a clean, organized, FOD-free work area.
• Inspect work for defects and complete required documentation with supervision as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
