HEICO is seeking a Machinist trainee to learn and operate lathe and mill equipment, reading micrometers and gauges to exact specs. You will follow Travelers, document processes, and ensure proper lubrication and safety protocol.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to read blueprints. No heavy prior experience required; 3 months to 2 years related machining experience is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Must speak, read and write the English language.

Responsabilités

• Learn and understand the proper operation of your machine, reporting any problems to Management.
• Use and be able to read micrometers, and bore gauges.
• Center chucks on machine to accept parts for grinding.
• Machine indicate or "zero" parts on machines.
• Machine parts to the specifications called for on "Travelers".
• Properly lubricate grinding equipment and parts.
• Operate a power hand tool to grind or buff parts.
• Use proper hearing, eye, and foot protection as required.
• Understand the potential exposures to metal filings and particles. Know and understand the dust recovery system and associated safety rules, and the potential exposures to grinding dust and dressing rock dust
• Learn the proper use of the dot welding machine.
