Job summary

Job description

Position Overview

Performs set ups and operates three to five axis mills and/or lathes. Operates mills or lathes to produce required aerospace tolerances and meet production requirements.

Essential Job Functions
  • Sets up and operates equipment such as mills or lathes to machine metal parts to specifications and verifies conformance of parts to specifications.
  • Has experience machining metals such as titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel.
  • Must follow work instructions to meet aerospace specifications. Product size can range from one inch to sixty-five inches.
  • May be required to assist process engineers in developing work procedures for new work.
Requirements
  • Must be U.S Citizen.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret router requirements.
  • Must operate in a safe manner and wear all required PPE.
  • Must have basic mathematical and reading skills.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Knowledge of G&M codes is beneficial.
  • This is a FAA Safety Sensitive position.
