Job summary

RBC Bearings in Franklin, Indiana is seeking a Bench Mechanic I to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on pressure testing and cleaning aircraft components, with emphasis on safety and routing compliance.

It is an entry-level position with training in duct and metal fabrication, working under the Operations Manager. The candidate should pass FAA drug screening and background checks, have a valid driver's license, and read, write, and speak English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass FAA drug screen and background check.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform pressure testing and cleaning of aircraft engine components per routing.
• Operate a product clean line.
• Bead blast product as required.
• In-process visual inspection to a check fixture.
• Assist packaging and shipping during peak production.
• Serve as backup to deliver parts locally via company van.
