Job summary

Dayton-Granger, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks an Environmental Test Engineer I to perform hands-on aerospace testing in our on-site lab. You’ll set up equipment for vibration, temperature, humidity, and more, document results, and grow into lab ownership.

You'll be a recent engineering graduate or early-career engineer with a willingness to learn our testing standards and procedures, while traveling 1–3 times per year for external testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or related engineering field.
• Recent graduate or early-career engineer with lab exposure.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and test requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic engineering documentation systems.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for testing laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run environmental and qualification tests on aerospace products.
• Operate test equipment for temperature, humidity, vibration, and more.
• Record conditions, settings, observations, and results accurately.
• Review drawings and test procedures before testing.
• Support investigations when tests fail and communicate findings.
• Maintain calibration status and a clean, safe lab.
