Job summary

First Service Corporation is seeking an Accounting Assistant at the FSC Panama City Corporate Office in Panama City, FL. This full-time position works 30+ hours per week and offers a hourly wage of $17.00–$21.00. A High School/Equivalent degree is required, with a BS in Accounting preferred.

The role supports multiple departments, performs GAAP-based reporting, and uses advanced Excel and Word. Sage Timberline experience is a plus, with emphasis on accuracy in financial statements.

Qualifications

• Familiar with monthly close processes and required reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret financial statements and business documents.
• Strong Excel and Word abilities for reporting and documentation.
• Must understand GAAP and apply it to daily tasks.
• Independent worker with reliable time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet strict deadlines established by department and management agreements.
• Review accounting reports for accuracy and reconcile balance sheet items.
• Interpret business documents to assess impact on financial statements.
• Assess accounting impact of business processes and software.
• Manage assigned projects and coordinate with staff to meet reporting needs.
• Attend meetings and perform other assignments as needed.
