ACC Recruiters seeks a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting activities and help maintain accurate financial records. This entry-level role offers training, mentorship, and exposure to multiple accounting areas in a professional environment.

You will assist with AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting while developing core accounting knowledge and practical skills for career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Recent college graduate or up to 2 years of accounting experience.
• Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with debits, credits, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with an accounting or ERP system through coursework, internship, or prior employment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including processing invoices, payments, and customer transactions.
• Prepare and post routine journal entries under the direction of senior accounting team members.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with reviewing transactions for accuracy and proper account coding.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and account analyses.
• Research and resolve routine accounting discrepancies.
• Assist with tracking expenses, accruals, and other financial activity.
• Enter and maintain financial information in accounting and ERP systems.
• Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed.
• Communicate with internal departments and external contacts to resolve routine accounting questions.
• Maintain organized electronic and paper accounting records.
• Support process improvements and other accounting projects as assigned.
