Job summary

OTTO Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Molding Machine Operator for 2nd shift to learn all aspects of the injection molding process. The role runs 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a target hourly range and shift premium.

The position requires basic molding setup, material handling, quality inspection, and adherence to safety and process procedures. Prior experience in molding is preferred, with opportunities for growth into a trainee role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in this position or similar.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs with assistance when needed.
• Reliable attendance.
• Ability to differentiate colors.
• Willing to work nonstandard or extended schedules.
• Good communication and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of inspection tools and their use.

Responsibilities

• Basic molding machine setup.
• Confirm proper material use per BOMs.
• Load and dry material.
• Inspect work for quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance as needed.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
• Count and progress work into stock.
• Regrind material as required.
• Perform SPC data collection.
• Run insert molded jobs when required.
• Manage raw material to prevent contamination.
• Observe department procedures.
