OTTO Engineering is seeking a Molding Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Illinois. This entry-level role covers the injection molding process with training, core duties, and safety practices.

You will operate molding machines, verify materials per BOM, perform loading and inspection, and maintain a clean work area. Required: lift 50 lbs with assistance, reliable attendance, ability to differentiate colors, and willingness to work nonstandard hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in this position before consideration for Molding Technician Trainee.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance as necessary.
• Reliable attendance.

• Available for nonstandard or extended work schedules.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of inspection tools and their use.

Responsibilities

Molding Machine Operator 2nd shift

OTTO's opportunity:

Our Molding Machine Operator 2nd shift is an entry level Molding Department position where the candidate learns about all aspects of the injection molding process.

Hours - 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday)

Specifically, the Molding Machine Operator 2nd shift will:

• Basic molding machine setup
• Confirm proper material use, per BOM's
• Material drying and loading
• Perform inspection of work produced to ensure quality
• Machine maintenance as required
• Keep equipment and work area clean
• Count and progress work into stock
• Regrind material as required
• Perform SPC data collection
• Observe department procedures
• Run insert molded jobs as needed
• Manage raw material in a manner that prevents contamination
• Maintain cleanliness and order of raw material storage
• Assist with other related duties as required or assigned

What OTTO offers for this specific position:

The hiring range listed in this posting is what we, in good faith, anticipate relying on when confirming an hourly rate for this position; exceptions may be considered for highly experienced candidates with multiple years of at-level experience.

• Target hourly hiring range: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour(plus 10% shift premium), based on qualifications and experience.
• Profit Sharing Bonus - OTTO believes that it's fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year. OTTO's profit sharing plan is paid at the discretion of the company and is not a guaranteed bonus or any part of a compensation plan.
• Vacation:five days after 30 days of employment and 80 hours at 1 year - vacation time is earned on the anniversary date.
