Morrison-Maierle, an employee-owned engineering and surveying firm, seeks an Entry Land Survey Technician for positions in Billings or Helena, MT. You will work under a Professional Land Surveyor, supporting a range of engineering and boundary survey projects.

Requirements include 0-3+ years in land surveying, potential LS licensure, and familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D. The role offers growth, competitive pay, and employee ownership through ESOP.

Qualifications

• 0-3+ years experience with land survey projects.
• LSI licensure or willingness to obtain soon after hire.
• Exposure to AutoCAD or Civil 3D; familiarity with Trimble systems and drone mapping.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork survey to collect data for engineering design surveys, mapping contours and features.
• Perform construction boundary staking for development/infrastructure projects.
• Assist in conducting boundary surveys to determine property and right-of-way boundaries.
• Process and analyze survey data using Trimble Business Center to create maps/reports.
• Assist sUAS and laser scanning operations to capture high-resolution spatial data.
• Maintain, calibrate, and utilize survey equipment such as Trimble GNSS, robotic total station, and digital leveling gear.
