Mabe Steel Inc. is seeking an Intro Ironworker to join our on-site crew on active construction sites in North Carolina. This entry-level role supports the foreman and skilled crew while gaining experience in steel erection, bolts, lifts, and safety procedures.

You will learn on the job, perform basic tasks, and advance into Connector or Rigger as skills develop. Expect early starts, outdoor work, and the need to travel between sites as projects require.

Qualifications

• No experience required; construction or trade experience a plus.
• Eager to learn, reliable and quick to pick up new skills.
• Willing and able to work at elevated heights.
• Comfortable with physical work outdoors in all weather.
• OSHA 10 preferred, or willingness to complete it.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute bolts, clean work areas and keep material organized.
• Assist forklift operators, riggers and the Foreman on the ground.
• Gain aerial time in lifts alongside experienced crew members, working at elevated heights.
• Take on tasks with increasing responsibility as skills develop.
• Follow all safety rules, fall protection and PPE requirements.
