HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking an Electrical Distribution Associate Graduate Engineer to join our Missoula, Montana team. This entry‑level role supports a local electric and gas utility, providing contract engineering resources as you begin your professional career.

You will participate in capacity upgrades, system rebuilds, and relocation of existing infrastructure, while learning design tools and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT Certification (Preferred).
• 0 to 4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering systems in compliance with specs for overhead and subsurface utility projects.
• Deploy creative solutions to address electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges.
• Own all phases of the design lifecycle from initiation through construction completion and closeout.
• Prepare detailed engineering and construction documents using DDS, GIS, Trimble, and asset management platforms.
• Analyze information from surveys, atlas data, field sketches, client records, datasheets.
• Independently manage time and schedule to achieve project milestones.
• Perform field walkdowns with staff, clients, authorities, and partners.
• Obtain proper permits and easements as required.
