Job summary

West Bend seeks a Data Engineering Associate to support the development and maintenance of business-facing datasets for reporting and analytics. You will learn under senior engineers, performing data preparation, validation, and documentation while growing technical skills.

You will use SQL, Python, and related tools, collaborating with data owners and engineers to understand data needs and apply enterprise standards. Hybrid work options with occasional travel are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with SQL and at least one language (Python, R, or SAS).
• Familiarity with data engineering tools, platforms, or cloud data environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication; teamwork with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide foundational support for development and maintenance of datasets for reporting and analytics.
• Assist data engineers with data preparation, validation, and documentation.
• Collaborate with data owners and engineers to understand data requirements.
• Use SQL, Python and related tools to support data development and analysis tasks.
• Create and update documentation to ensure dataset clarity and maintainability.
