Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) is seeking an entry-level Civil/Structural CAD Designer in the ESCD Production group in Omaha, NE. You will perform civil, geotechnical, and structural CAD tasks and update drawings for As-Built/Record purposes, coordinating with construction and clients throughout the process.

The role emphasizes training, collaboration, and timely delivery of accurate redline drawings, with opportunities to grow within a large project-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in CAD/Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of CAD/Modeling experience in civil/structural/geotechnical design.
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation or Revit is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand civil/structural drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Travel 10–15% is expected.

Responsibilities

• Update contract drawings to support construction operations As-Built/Record drawings.
• Lead coordination with construction and client staff during As-Built process.
• Provide latest As-Built drawings to construction team.
• Coordinate with Document Control to manage redline/markup changes.
• Review client As-Built/Record requirements and develop an As-Built plan.
• Assist construction team in documenting redline/markup changes.
• Participate in change documentation reviews and recommendations.
• Submit As-Built/Record drawings to client as required.

Education

Associates degree in CAD/Engineering Technology (AAS)

Reading and understanding civil/structural drawings
