Jiffy Lube International in Algonquin, IL is hiring a General Service Technician. In this entry-level role, you will service guests' vehicles, participate in our training program, and earn certification across services while building hands-on skills.

You will collaborate with teammates to deliver timely, safe, and quality guest care, maintain a clean service center, and follow safety policies. The position offers a benefits-rich package and opportunities for career advancement within Jiffy Lube.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months of customer-facing experience (retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
• Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Previous automotive experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to read and interpret safety instructions and procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and around exhaust fumes
• Physically able to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork to deliver on-time guest care
• Provide excellent guest service with clear communication about vehicles
• Keep the service center clean and presentable
• Guide and mentor junior technicians
• Check oil level and communicate with teammates
• Ensure proper tire pressure and fluid levels
• Complete vehicle inspections and document work
• Install oil drain plug and oil filter
• Lubricate fittings and maintain safety practices
• Report safety issues to management
• Follow company policies and perform other duties as assigned
