Job summary

Marietta College invites applications for a tenure-track Director of Entrepreneurship and Assistant Professor of Business beginning August 2027. The successful candidate will lead the Entrepreneurship Program while teaching courses that support the department's core curriculum and may teach in Marietta College's new MBA program.

We seek a dynamic teacher-scholar with expertise in management, business ethics, human resource management, or related business fields.

Qualifications

• An earned MBA or another relevant master's degree with substantial entrepreneurial, business leadership, professional, and/or college-level teaching experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, student mentoring, and experiential learning in a contemporary liberal arts environment.
• Ability to teach one or more core business areas consistent with departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach entrepreneurship and core business courses.
• Lead the Entrepreneurship Program, curriculum, student engagement, and cross-campus collaboration.
• Coordinate major entrepreneurship co-curricular initiatives (PioBiz, Big Blue thrift store).
• Recruit, develop, and coordinate community mentors and entrepreneurship partners.
• Build relationships with regional entrepreneurs, alumni, and organizations to expand experiential learning and internships.
• Advise students and assist with course registration and academic planning.
• Engage in scholarship and service to the College and department.
