Job summary

The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Entrepreneurship beginning in Fall 2027 to teach MBA and Executive level audiences. Candidates at all levels will be considered. The position is part of Darden’s Strategy, Ethics, and Entrepreneurship (SEE) area.

Review of applications will begin November 1, 2026. The selected candidate will undergo a background check per University policy.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a doctorate (ABD considered) in Entrepreneurship or a related field.
• Assistant professor candidates must show initial evidence of excellence in research, including top-tier publications and a growing pipeline, and evidence of success as a teacher.
• Senior appointments require an outstanding record of sustained research productivity, scholarly and managerial impact, and a record of success as a teacher (MBA and executive programs).
• All applicants are expected to be involved in research and teaching activities related to the practice of management and to engage with practicing managers.

Responsibilities

• Teach Entrepreneurship and related subjects to MBA and Executive level audiences.
• Engage in research and contribute to the SEE area.
• Participate in service and academic activities within the school.

Education
