Job summary

Paramount Pictures in New York, NY is seeking an entry-level Production Assistant to support ET's NYC bureau. You will assist a Supervising Producer across exclusives, features, red carpet coverage, and set visits, while handling footage, transcripts, and asset organization. You are pop culture–savvy, fast, accurate, and able to work under deadline.

A degree or internship in TV/film is a plus. Compensation is $20/hour with overtime after 40 hours; schedule ~45 hours/week, on-site in Midtown

Responsibilities

• Ingest shoot footage, log and label assets and build organized folders for writers and producers.
• Transcribe celebrity interviews and field shoots on deadline.
• Monitor morning shows and podcasts to flag newsworthy moments.
• Support exclusives and features, prep interviews, shoots and packages.
• Coordinate assets like b-roll, photos, clips, and rights/credits.
• Provide producer support across broadcast, digital and social.
• Assist on field and studio shoots and provide on-site help as needed.
• Pitch in across departments when the show needs support.

Entertainment Tonight is looking for a sharp, pop-culture-obsessed Production Assistant to join our team. This is an entry-level role built for someone who's ready to work hard, learn fast, and grow inside the #1 entertainment news brand in the world.

Overview:

This PA will be assigned to one of ET's Supervising Producers in the NYC bureau, supporting a mix of exclusives, features, red carpet coverage, set visits, and news. One day you might be building a folder off breaking news, the next you're on the ground at a red carpet or a set visit. The best PAs bring editorial instincts to all of it. If you're deep in a folder on a breaking story and you spot a vault clip that just became gold, we need you to recognize it and flag it. That awareness is what separates a good PA from a great one.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

You’ll work directly with a Supervising Producer across ET's NYC bureau coverage, serving as the link between raw footage and finished stories.

Media management — ingest shoot footage, log and label assets, and build organized folders that segment producers can write directly from

Transcription — turn celebrity interviews and field shoots into accurate, usable transcripts on deadline

Morning show & podcast monitoring — watch and transcribe morning news broadcasts and podcasts to flag newsworthy moments before the rest of the day catches up

Exclusives & features support — help prep and execute interviews, shoots, and packages tied to ET exclusives and features

Asset coordination — pull b-roll, photos, social clips, and archival material; track rights and credits

Producer support — research, fact checks, and content prep across broadcast, digital, and social

Field and studio assistance — crew support, errands, and on-the-ground help when shoots need an extra set of hands

Cross-department coverage — pitch in where the show needs you

Basic Qualifications:

You live and breathe pop culture — you can name every famous face in a crowded shot

You're fast, accurate, and organized under pressure

You communicate clearly and workwell with a team

You have sharp editorial instincts — you know the difference between a great sound bite and a throwaway line

Must pass a short celebrity knowledge quiz

THE DETAILS:

Compensation: $20/hour| Overtime paid after 40 hours

Schedule: Approximately 45 hours/week | 8am EST - 5:30pm EST | with some weekend / big award show coverage expected

Hiring Salary Range: $20.0 - 20.0.The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
