Job summary

Theater Outsource Inc is seeking an experienced lighting programmer with extensive Hog console expertise to join our team in Austin, TX. This role moves from show floors into product development, shaping the next generation of live event control software.

You will test and validate features, document issues, and collaborate with engineering to improve usability across complex show environments. Ideal candidates bring touring, theatre, or broadcast experience and a passion for advancing lighting

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional Hog console programming experience.
  • Background in concert touring, live events, theatre, broadcast, or large-scale entertainment productions.
  • Strong understanding of lighting control systems and networked show environments.
  • Experience with DMX, Art-Net, and sACN.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to clearly document technical findings and communicate with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do
