Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. invites a motivated student to join our Entertainment Engineering Internship for Summer 2027. You will support the design and development of entertainment-related projects under experienced engineers.

The internship offers a hands-on, 40-hour work week for at least 10 weeks between mid-May and the end of August, with a dedicated supervisor and planned activities to ensure broad exposure to the engineering process.

Qualifications

• This is an entry level position where no previous experience is required.
• Currently enrolled in an ABET-Accredited College Engineering Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of structural systems for entertainment and specialty projects.
• Support testing of materials, preparation of specifications, and process studies.
• Contribute to research investigations and the preparation of reports and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on multidisciplinary design and engineering projects.
• Assist with construction drawings for concrete, steel, and wood structures.
• Participate in field activities, site observations, and construction administration tasks as needed.
• Review input from project managers and make adjustments to design work as directed.
• Gain exposure to all phases of design and project delivery within the entertainment engineering practice.
