The Entertainment Coordinator is a full-time NBCUniversal role in Universal Television Entertainment. The work combines executive administration with television development support. NBCUniversal places the role at 100 Universal City Plaza in the Universal City role , with a hybrid schedule that requires at least four office days each week.
Annual pay is $56,000 to $60,000. The coordinator supports two creative executives in Current Programming and communicates with internal NBCUniversal divisions, production teams, talent, agencies, managers, networks, streaming services, studios, agencies, and the wider creative community. The position calls for at least one year of assistant experience in a studio, network, agency, or production company, plus a bachelor's degree.
Current Programming assigns the coordinator to two creative executives. Daily support includes telephone coverage, calendar scheduling, executive travel, drive-on arrangements, copying, filing, expense processing, and coordination with people inside and outside the studio.
The office liaison work connects creative executives with NBCUniversal divisions, the external business community, production personnel, talent, networks, streaming services, studios, agencies, and managers. The coordinator also researches industry trends, television formats, talent, and competing activity so the executives have current information during development work.
The coordinator maintains reports and databases for staffing submissions, production schedules, material delivery, and studio-wide series coverage. Files and status reports also track series in production, which keeps development and production information available to the executives who use it.
Creative-material support includes reading writer submissions and other material, then preparing written coverage. Final Draft knowledge connects the administrative work to script-based development, while Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe tools support the records, documents, presentations, and communications that move through the office.
Conference calls, run-thrus, meetings, virtual meetings, and table reads all require accurate calendars and timely communication. The coordinator anticipates scheduling conflicts, production needs, and administrative gaps, then addresses issues proactively or escalates them to the appropriate person.
The meeting side of the position uses event planning tasks such as scheduling, coordination with site staff, record maintenance, problem resolution, and communication with participants. Those tasks sit alongside the television-specific work of tracking series materials, preparing coverage, and keeping executive priorities organized.
The minimum experience requirement is one year in an assistant capacity at a studio, network, agency, or production company. Television development and current programming knowledge also matter because the coordinator works with creative executives, writer submissions, production information, and industry participants.
The required software background includes Adobe, Final Draft, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. The position also calls for multitasking, organization, time management, flexibility, personable communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work with creative-community contacts as well as staff at every level of NBCUniversal.
External candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview at an NBCUniversal location.
