Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking an Activities Assistant to support residents through engaging daily activities and events. The role runs full-time, Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m., with responsibilities including calendar development, event planning, and resident library maintenance. Candidates must be at least 21, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a valid driver’s license with a clean record and at least three years of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with clean MV record and at least 3 years driving experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, family members, and team members.
• Self-motivated, organized, and professional; able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong customer service skills are required.

Job Description

Schedule: Full-Time. Sunday - Thursday, 9am-5pm.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the development, planning, implementation, the execution of the activities for residents.
• Assisting in the development of the monthly calendar, procuring performers, providing seminars, and maintaining the resident library.
• Driving residents to events, assisting residents to enter and exit the community vehicle.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you will; need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license, a clean motor vehicle records, and at least 3 years of driving experience.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with residents, family members, and other team members.
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and professional. Must be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
