SAE Institute in Atlanta seeks a Part-Time Adjunct Instructor for Entertainment Business to facilitate student learning toward course and program outcomes, teach, inspire, motivate, and guide students in a dynamic classroom setting.
You will update course materials, maintain Canvas content, advise students at risk, support campus events such as orientation and graduation, and ensure compliance with SAE policies; this role includes evaluating student work and providing timely feedback.

This is a Part Time Adjunct Instructor position with an on going contract renewal as needed Entertainment Business Adjunct Instructor
Provide education that aligns with the SAE model of curricula and deliveryEstablish a classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvementContribute to a learning culture by participating in academic advising serving on curriculum committees supporting campus events such as new student orientation and graduation and participating in various other workshops and collegiate meetingsManage the learning environment by keeping accurate records and enforcing college policies and proceduresPost attendance within one hour of the end of class assignment grades within one week of submission and final grades within 48 hours of the end of the courseDevelop instructional plans to meet course competencies and develop course activities that support lesson objectivesEffectively plan and prepare for classes and student successContact and advise students who are at risk for attendance andor academics to help provide support and coordinate with Academics staff to effectively manage at risk studentsMaintain update manage and ensure accuracy of content on Learning Management System Canvas for all assigned coursesUse the Learning Management System Canvas to effectively engage and communicate with students to supplement and support course and program learning outcomesMaintain instructor eligibility according to applicable federal state and accrediting regulationsAbide by all SAE policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned

Education Diploma or Associate Degree courses Faculty teaching courses other than general education shall hold a bachelors degree at a minimum and shall be assigned based on their major and minor academic preparation and three years of related experience At least 50 of the courses including core courses shall be taught by faculty members holding graduate degrees professional degrees such as JD or MD or a bachelors degree plus professional certification Appropriate certifications for Audio Technology faculty are ProTools or LogicBachelor Degree Courses Faculty teaching bachelor degree courses shall hold a masters degree at a minimum and shall be assigned based on their major and minor academic preparation and three years of related experienceCompetencies Expert knowledge of subject matter taught in specific coursesExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to foster a cooperative atmosphere in a diverse communityOutstanding conflict resolution skillsDemonstrated time management and critical thinking skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasksAbility to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlinesAbility to work independentlywithout constant supervision and to follow instructionsKnowledge of common office software eg Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to complete administrative functions such as posting attendance and grades in a timely and accurate manner
