Job summary

You will advise a sophisticated client base across film, television, music, digital media, gaming and broader entertainment industries on complex corporate and commercial transactions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in entertainment transactions, ideally involving film and television, music, digital media, gaming or related industries.
• Experience with M&A, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, financings, licensing, distribution and/or intellectual property transactions.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Ability to manage sophisticated matters independently while working effectively as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong client-service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise entertainment industry clients on complex corporate and transactional matters.
• Handle mergers, acquisitions, sales and other strategic transactions involving entertainment businesses and assets.
• Structure and negotiate joint ventures, strategic alliances and partnership arrangements.
• Advise on film and television development, production, financing and distribution transactions.
• Negotiate licensing, intellectual property and content-related agreements.
• Advise clients on music, media, gaming and digital entertainment transactions.
• Represent talent, agencies, production companies, studios, record labels, investors and senior executives in connection with their business interests.
• Provide general corporate advice to entertainment clients, including entity structuring and strategic matters.
• Work closely with clients and senior attorneys on sophisticated transactions from structuring through completion.
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the firm's entertainment transactional practice.
