Job summary

Blue Chip Talent in partnership with a transportation and infrastructure organization seeks a Security Surveillance Systems Administrator to oversee enterprise video management systems. The role requires hands-on administration, troubleshooting, and maintaining VMS infrastructure onsite with after-hours/on-call availability.

You will manage cameras, servers, storage, and network components, ensuring high availability and secure access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience with VMS or CCTV is acceptable.
• Experience with servers, storage, networking, and security surveillance infrastructure.
• Experience with after-hours/on-call technical support.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, update, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise VMS applications.
• Manage VMS architecture including directory, archiving, media gateway, storage and failover components.
• Monitor system health, performance, video availability, and storage utilization.
• Configure, update, maintain, and troubleshoot IP surveillance cameras.
• Maintain and troubleshoot servers, storage, networking, and VMS infrastructure components.
• Integrate cameras, encoders, access control, analytics with VMS platforms.
• Manage user roles, permissions, authentication, and audit tracking.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide VMS system training to internal users.
