Job summary

Peraton in Chantilly, VA seeks an experienced Transition Lead to plan, coordinate, and drive the transition of services, users, infrastructure, dependencies, knowledge, and operational responsibilities into a new enterprise platform.

You will collaborate with engineering, customer stakeholders, and tenant programs to ensure transitions are sequenced, measurable, and aligned with readiness criteria, managing risks and ensuring smooth handoffs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, program management, migration, transition, integration, or technical delivery.
• Minimum of BS/BA; 4 additional years' experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated experience transitioning complex enterprise, software, cloud, or classified environments.
• Strong dependency-management, scheduling, planning, and technical-coordination skills.
• Ability to understand and coordinate dependencies across software, cloud, security, networking, data, infrastructure, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an integrated transition plan and schedule covering services, users, infrastructure, technical dependencies, staffing, and operational responsibilities.
• Identify and manage transition dependencies involving staffing, clearances, system access, documentation, tooling, licenses, infrastructure, interfaces, and incumbent services.
• Define measurable readiness criteria for assumption of responsibility and track completion against established milestones.
• Coordinate transition activities with development, pilot, tenant onboarding, and operational milestones.
• Maintain visibility into transition progress, dependencies, risks, and issues and drive actions through resolution.
• Coordinate across technical and operational teams to ensure transition activities remain aligned with overall program objectives.
• Coordinate structured knowledge transfer from incumbent technical teams and customer personnel.
• Identify and track the documentation, configuration, architecture, interface, operations, and support knowledge required for successful transition.
• Coordinate shadowing, reverse shadowing, technical walkthroughs, and operational validation activities as appropriate.
• Identify knowledge and capability gaps early, establish ownership, and track closure through completion.
• Ensure critical operational knowledge and responsibilities are effectively transferred to successor teams.
