The Enterprise Tooling Program Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and performance of Bird Electric's enterprise-wide tooling and asset management program. This role serves as the primary point of contact for tooling operations across the organization and is accountable for ensuring the availability, utilization, inventory accuracy, maintenance, and lifecycle management of company-owned tools and equipment.
The Enterprise Tooling Program Manager provides oversight and support to regional Tool Coordinators and operational stakeholders while establishing standardized processes, policies, and controls that promote consistency, accountability, and operational efficiency across all Bird Electric locations. This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company's Tool Management and Inventory Management Systems and ensuring accurate asset tracking, reporting, and inventory visibility throughout the organization.
This role owns enterprise tooling strategy, budgeting, capital planning, vendor management, and performance reporting. The Enterprise Tooling Program Manager develops and manages relationships with tooling manufacturers, distributors, rental providers, repair vendors, and technology partners to ensure competitive pricing, service quality, and alignment with organizational objectives. The position is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve tool utilization, reduce loss and shrinkage, optimize inventory investments, and support safe and efficient field operations.
Working closely with Operations, Fleet, Procurement, Finance, and Regional Leadership, the Enterprise Tooling Program Manager utilizes data, inventory analytics, and field feedback to support business growth, project execution, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role develops long‑term asset strategies related to acquisition, deployment, maintenance, replacement planning, and program standardization across the enterprise.
This position requires periodic travel to regional facilities, warehouses, tool rooms, and project locations to support program audits, inventory reviews, vendor partnerships, training initiatives, and operational alignment across the organization
Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.
