Job summary

Sagent LLC in Addison, Texas, seeks an experienced Enterprise Systems Engineer to lead modernization of our technology stack across on‑prem and cloud environments, reporting directly to the VP of Information Technology. This role blends infrastructure, software, databases, and integrations, with hands‑on coding when needed.

You will design and implement cross‑domain solutions, mentor IT staff, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 8 years of enterprise IT/systems engineering experience.
• Ability to work across enterprise architecture, systems engineering, software development, databases, and cloud technologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of modernization initiatives across applications, databases, infrastructure, cloud platforms, IAM, integration, and automation.
• Investigate complex cross‑platform problems, identify root causes, compare options and recommend strategies.
• Own solutions from discovery through deployment and transition to operations.
• Develop scripts, APIs, automation, integrations, and ETL processes to improve data flow and reliability.
• Design and implement solutions with Windows Server, Azure, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, SQL Server, Dynamics, and Salesforce.
• Support SQL Server administration, query optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Provide technical leadership during migrations to cloud/SaaS platforms.
• Collaborate with IT, business teams, vendors, and partners to deliver reliable solutions.
• Create clear technical documentation and train staff.
