Job summary

The Vermont Department of Corrections is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support modernization, integration, testing, and long-term sustainability of enterprise correctional systems. This role leads testing for operational systems serving facilities, probation and parole offices, and data exchange across agencies.

You will work with leadership, developers, and end users to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, ensure thorough validation, and minimize disruption

Qualifications

• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Experience serving as a testing lead for enterprise systems, coordinating testing and UAT.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases and data analytics principles; can write/interpret queries and support reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders.
• Translate business processes into functional requirements and system specs.
• Develop and execute testing plans, cases, and validation scenarios.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and defect tracking.
