NRG Energy is seeking a Director to lead Enterprise Strategy & Execution within Growth & Partnerships. The role requires building a repeatable operating system, governance, and rigorous decision frameworks to translate complex opportunities into prioritized, executable plans.

Successful candidates will align multiple internal functions, move opportunities from thesis to validation and scale, and drive leadership‑level analysis and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 10–15+ years in enterprise strategy, program leadership, or related areas.
• Experience building decision systems, governance models, and portfolio processes for cross‑functional work.
• Hands-on experience with sophisticated financial models and analytical frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate a common operating system for Growth & Partnerships, including intake, prioritization, stage gates, and governance.
• Create decision-making systems to allocate resources and advance high‑value opportunities with discipline.
• Develop an enterprise pipeline and ensure cross‑functional alignment across portfolios and initiatives.
• Translate opportunities into executable plans and clear executive recommendations for senior leadership and the Board.
• Lead cross‑functional programs with Finance, Regulatory, Legal, Operations, Technology, and Development.
