Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Storage Administrator to support a mission-critical data center environment for a federal customer on-site in Fort Belvoir, VA. The role focuses on provisioning, managing, and tuning enterprise storage, with on-call rotations and close collaboration with security and IT teams.

Required 5+ years of storage experience, NetApp expertise, and Windows/Linux server support. Security+ certification and TS/SCI clearance are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience administering enterprise storage environments.
• Hands-on experience with SAN/NAS, including NetApp storage solutions.
• Experience with storage provisioning, LUN/volume management, RAID, snapshots, replication, performance tuning.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux servers with attached storage.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise SAN and NAS storage environments.
• Configure RAID, snapshots, replication, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot storage connectivity, multipathing, bottlenecks, backups, and restores.
• Support Windows and Linux servers connected to storage platforms.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure storage availability and reliability.
• Perform storage upgrades, patching, and maintenance per change control.
• Participate in on-call rotations and maintenance windows.
• Develop automation to improve storage administration.
