Job summary

Sycamore Labs, Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer to join our enterprise-focused team in Palo Alto. You will be the engineer in the customer room, shaping end-to-end product solutions from user interfaces and data models to agent tooling and production readiness.

We value engineers who ship production software, own outcomes, and collaborate across UI, backend, data, and deployment domains. Strong fundamentals and security-minded thinking are essential as we scale with Fortune 500

Qualifications

5-12 years of software engineering experience.
Strong fundamentals across APIs, data modeling, and distributed systems.
Proven track record of shipping production software.
Ability to move across UI, backend, data, and deployment.
Security-minded approach to enterprise data, permissions, and auditability.

Responsibilities

Turn ambiguous enterprise problems into clear technical designs, working software, and measurable outcomes.
Build product surfaces for agent conversations, tasks, progress, approvals, artifacts, and operational workflows.
Design APIs and relational data models that accurately represent the customer’s domain.
Build agent instructions, tool interfaces, connector interactions, and durable workflow steps with explicit permission and failure behavior.
Navigate authentication, authorization, tenant isolation, data handling, deployment, observability, and change management.
Test realistic user journeys end to end, not just happy-path demos.
Travel to customer sites when working alongside users accelerates discovery, delivery, or adoption.
