Job summary

Erias Ventures is hiring a Frontend Developer to build intuitive applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse environment. You will collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to craft holistic user experiences, write maintainable code, and participate in testing and QA.

This hybrid role requires the ability to obtain a DoD 8140/8570 alignment within 60 days of hire and a willingness to work at our Columbia, MD office 1–2 days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of front-end development experience.
• Knowledge of modern web technologies and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and responsive design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.
• JavaScript/CSS/HTML coding and code review.

• Define and interact with REST-based APIs.
• Troubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and provide support.
• Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing.

Description

We are seeking a motivated Frontend Developer who is passionate about building intuitive applications that meet the needs of our users. Asking questions, failing fast, and writing maintainable code are at the center of what we do while building applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse. • Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications

This position allows for partial telework.

Clearance

Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, but not required on day one; U.S. Citizenship required.

Experience

Five plus (5+) years of experience with front end software development/engineering and a Bachelors in related field; or three (3) years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and nine (9) years relevant experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge or experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (ie: Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency


• Familiarity with Git or other version control software


• Comfortable working on a *nix command line


• Self-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly


• Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed


• Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (i.e. Security+) within 60 days of hire


• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office; flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed

Desired skills

• Previous experience with a data warehouse is a plus
