Job summary

Centers Health Care is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to lead enterprise clinical governance, physician strategy, resident safety, quality and regulatory excellence across a growing skilled nursing enterprise.

The CMO will oversee initial four facilities and expand to a 40-facility portfolio while maintaining the statutory responsibilities of each facility Medical Director, Administrator, Governing Body, Director of Nursing, and Compliance Officer.

Qualifications

• MD/DO licensed in NY with board certification.
• CMD preferred for CMO role.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise clinical strategy.
• Standardize evidence-based care.
• Oversee physician recruitment, credentialing, privileging, peer review and succession.
• Lead QAPI, infection prevention, resident safety and emergency preparedness.
• Improve quality, survey readiness and value-based performance.
• Represent the organization with hospitals, payers and regulators.
• Establish enterprise medical policies.
• Maintain Medical Director governance model.
• Lead serious event review and root-cause analysis.
• Partner with Compliance while preserving independence.
• Promote documentation integrity and medical necessity.
• Support CMS, NYDOH, Medicare and Medicaid compliance.
