Erias Ventures in Maryland is seeking an experienced UI Front End Software Engineer to lead a team of UI developers, translate UX/UI designs into accessible, production-ready interfaces, and contribute across the full software lifecycle in an agile environment. Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years experience as a SWE in programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college/university.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a development team.
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) and standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Full-stack experience including backend development (Node.js, Python, Java) and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with state management, component-based architecture, and responsive design.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GovCloud a plus).
• Experience with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure accessible interfaces.
• Experience working in Linux/Ubuntu environments is a plus.
• Experience with tiered architectural systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of UI/front-end developers, providing technical guidance, standards, and code review.
• Architect and implement scalable, maintainable front-end solutions using modern frameworks.
• Translate prototypes and design specifications into functional, responsive, accessible interfaces.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs, ensuring efficient data flow between front‑end and back‑end.
• Contribute to full‑stack development efforts, including backend services, database interactions, and deployments.
• Establish and enforce front‑end coding standards, best practices, and component reuse.
• Partner with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure design intent is preserved through implementation.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, cross‑browser issues, and technical debt.
• Participate in sprint planning, technical estimation, and architectural decision-making.

Description

We are seeking an experienced UI Front End Software Engineer who will directly meet mission-critical needs in partnership with mission customers. This individual will lead a team of UI developers, designing front-end architecture and coding standards while remaining hands-on in development across the full software product lifecycle in an agile environment. Responsibilities span analyzing user requirements to derive design and performance standards, developing and debugging software, integrating systems, and implementing algorithms to meet performance goals. Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Twelve (12) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
