Job summary

Perplexity, the answer engine for the AI era, is hiring aSales Systems Engineer to own the technical layer under our enterprise sales motion. You will configure CPQ, scoring, data orchestration, and GTM integrations to scale from today to a billion-dollar ARR.

You will directly partner with sales, finance, marketing ops, and product, writing Snowflake queries, building Salesforce flows, and shipping Python scripts to fix data problems before sellers notice.

Qualifications

5+ years in Sales Systems, RevOps Eng, Salesforce eng, or Enterprise Systems at a high-growth SaaS company.
Deep Salesforce expertise: flows, formula fields, validation rules, custom objects, sharing model, Apex.
Hands-on CPQ experience (Salesforce CPQ, Stripe Billing, Maxio, or similar).
Strong SQL and Snowflake query skills and dbt-style logic.
Experience with reverse ETL and iPaaS (Workato/Tray) at scale.
REST APIs and scripting in Python or JavaScript.
Bias for building and owning seller requests; operator mindset.

Responsibilities

CPQ: quote-to-cash, product catalog, pricing rules, approvals, discount governance, contract gen.
Scoring: account/lead scoring, PLG activation, intent signals; push to Salesforce via reverse ETL.
Data orchestration: pipelines across Snowflake, Salesforce, NetSuite, Apollo, Unify; own SLAs.
Salesforce engineering: flows, validation rules, apex, objects, sandbox management.
Integrations: API-level work; build connectors when off-the-shelf fails.
Routing and ownership: account routing logic, opportunity rules, territory control.
Reporting: Snowflake models powering pipeline/forecast; partner with Analytics for visuals.
