Job description

Are you a proven K-12 sales hunter looking to be part of a fast-scaling, billion-dollar vision organization?

University Instructors (UI), a national leader in K–12 instructional staffing and solutions, is seeking a highly driven Enterprise Sales Executive to lead new business development across targeted school districts and state agencies. This position is designed for a proactive closer who thrives on creating opportunities from scratch, navigating complex procurement landscapes, and building trusted partnerships with senior-level education leaders.

Come join a company with a mission to help solve one of the most urgent challenges in education, the national teacher shortage!

Major Responsibilities
  • Aggressively prospect and identify new district and agency opportunities across assigned states/territories.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Consistently meet or exceed activity and revenue goals, with a strong focus on closing net-new accounts.
  • Develop trusted‑advisor relationships with key education decision‑makers; build referral networks and leverage early adopter districts as case studies to accelerate market penetration.
  • Partner with sales leadership to build and execute state‑specific go‑to‑market strategies aligned to UI’s revenue objectives.
  • Provide ongoing market feedback to inform product/service enhancements, pricing models, and procurement strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven Hunter Profile: several years of successful K-12 sales experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding quota in high‑growth environments; experience closing million‑dollar deals.
  • Strong knowledge of public‑sector procurement and cooperative purchasing (K–12, state, or higher education preferred).
  • Ability to influence senior‑level K-12 executives and navigate long, complex decision‑making cycles.
  • Highly skilled in crafting proposals, conducting executive presentations, and closing complex deals.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), pipeline management, and sales reporting.
  • Strong relationships with state‑level and district‑level decision makers.
  • Live in PA or adjacent state and travel throughout the territory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or related field.
  • This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, resilience in pursuit of new accounts, and a consultative approach that positions UI as the partner of choice in addressing the nation’s K‑12 teacher shortage.

Base salary of $120-150k with uncapped commissions and performance bonuses; OTE of $450,000; full benefits package.

University Instructors (UI) has more than 30 years of experience providing K-12 schools and districts with services designed to improve student performance and save teachers and administrators valuable time. Their services include afterschool and summer programs, educator pipeline development, and human capital and project management.
