Stifel is offering an Enterprise Risk Management Intern opportunity designed to give hands-on exposure to risk management across Third Party Risk Management, Business Continuity, and IT Disaster Recovery. The role emphasizes analytical skills, documentation, and governance in a fast-paced financial services environment.

The intern will support reviews, tabletop exercises, and due diligence, while developing practical experience in core risk management functions and gaining insight into industry

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, risk management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with relevant financial systems and industry practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist with risk management initiatives across departments such as Third Party Risk Management, Business Continuity, and IT Disaster Recovery.
• Support with tabletop exercises, recovery governance, and RTO/RPO roadmap activities.
• Help with third-party due diligence follow-ups and vendor data maintenance, reporting, and OneTrust administration.
• Contribute to program documentation, data quality, governance, and operational readiness.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and clear communication.

Job description

The Enterprise Risk Management Intern will have the opportunity to work closely with highly skilled professionals and contribute to important risk management initiatives, helping to identify and mitigate potential risks across the organization. The Enterprise Risk Management Intern works in a variety of departments, including Third Party Risk Management, Business Continuity, and IT Disaster Recovery. This position provides a solid foundation for building a successful career in risk management and offers valuable exposure to the financial services industry.

• Support business continuity plan reviews, procedure documentation, and tabletop exercises
• Assist with recovery governance, RTO/RPO roadmap activities, runbook reviews, and disaster recovery exercise readiness
• Support third-party due diligence follow-ups, vendor data maintenance, reporting, mailbox coordination, and OneTrust administration
• Structured assignments that strengthen program documentation, data quality, governance, and operational preparedness while providing practical experience in core risk management function
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
