Job summary

Stifel Financial Corp. is seeking a Compliance-Rotational Intern to rotate across Employee Activities, Branch Activities, and Surveillance teams in Saint Louis. You will analyze reports, assist branch examinations, maintain records, and support special projects while learning risk management and supervisory processes.

You will shadow staff, attend meetings, and collaborate with analysts to understand how compliance programs identify and mitigate risk across the firm.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, pre-law, or finance.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze information from reports and compare data related to outside business activities.
• Assist with preliminary work for branch examinations, gathering documents from CRD systems.
• Support testing, draft memos, shadow team members, and attend leadership meetings.
• Assist with data entry, file maintenance, and records management.
• Contribute to special projects, including migrating files to SharePoint.
• Work with analysts to learn risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
• Support additional projects and daily tasks as rotations dictate.

What You'll Be Doing

The Compliance-Rotational Intern will rotate across the Employee Activities, Branch Activities, and Surveillance teams, gaining exposure to a variety of compliance, supervisory, risk-management, and operational processes. Throughout the internship, the Intern will collaborate with experienced team members and contribute to assignments such as analyzing report data, supporting preparation for branch examinations, maintaining departmental records, and assisting with special projects. The Intern will also shadow team members, attend meetings, and learn how the three teams work with others across the firm to identify, assess, and mitigate risk.

What We're Looking For

• Support testing activities, draft memos, shadow team members, and attend meetings with leadership.
• Assist with operational and administrative functions, including data entry, file maintenance, and records management.
• Contribute to special projects, including the migration of departmental files and resources to SharePoint.
• Work alongside analysts to learn how the teams identify, assess, and mitigate risks while supporting the firm’s compliance and supervisory objectives.
• Assist with additional projects and daily responsibilities based on the needs of each rotation.

Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Pre-Law, or Finance.

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
